The Pitchmark Group is seeking a Turfix Services Contract Manager to execute various contracting scope works and service offerings. As a Queen's Award-winning family-run business based in Bristol, UK, The Pitchmark Group has a rich history spanning over a decade, specialising in line marking paint and equipment for UK and international markets.


As the Turfix Services Contract Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out contracting scope works, including initial and over-marking on both natural and synthetic surfaces, goalpost safety testing, surface treatment, and cleaning. You will evaluate and optimise the current Turfix Services products while collaborating with colleagues and partners to develop new business opportunities aligned with the company's framework. With a keen eye for operational efficiency, you will continuously assess service delivery to proactively identify improvements, ensuring the division's competitiveness and growth within the sports turf and amenity sector.

  • Carry out contracting scope of works, including but not limited to initial and over-marking on both natural and synthetic surfaces, goalpost safety testing, surface treatment and cleaning.

  • Reviewing and evaluating the current Turfix Services products and offerings, including GPS line marking and goalpost testing.

  • Managing, coordinating, and implementing the existing and emerging service portfolio.

  • Collaborating with colleagues and partners to develop new business opportunities and create competitive service offerings aligned with the company's framework.

  • Continuously assessing operations, processes, and service delivery to proactively identify and implement improvements, optimising efficiency and enhancing overall service performance.

  • Working collaboratively to produce bespoke business cases to support new investment.

  • Effective reporting to HOD and Management.

  • Identify commercially viable opportunities within the Sports Turf and amenity sector.

  • Monitoring the effective implementation and performance of signed contracts, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, and promptly addressing any deviations or issues that may arise.

  • Conduct regular sector reviews and research to gather insights and stay informed, enabling informed decision-making for the future.

  • Develop and implement a new competitive service offering to align with the Companies Framework

  • Attend trade exhibitions, events and educational seminars (approx. 5 events per year).

Knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in the Sports Turf contracting sector

  • Full and (preferably) clean driving license

  • Excellent in-depth knowledge of the Sports Turf Sector

  • Contract management and negotiation experience

  • Be flexible and adaptable - overnight stays and potential overseas travel may be required

  • Manage your own workloads and projects

  • Proficient in contract administration and skilled in negotiation

  • Have the ability to prioritise workload and have excellent time management skills

  • Outstanding negotiation, persuasive communication, and sound judgment abilities.

  • Be proactive and take initiative in a logical, highly-driven manner

  • Commercially astute with a keen understanding of the financial and market aspects of The Sports Turf Sector

  • Willingness and ability to liaise with internal and external departments and teams


Essential Skills:

  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and other company IT systems.

  • Have strong organisational skills, be meticulous, and have excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience working with line marking equipment.

  • Be an outstanding communicator.

  • Strong research skills and an in-depth understanding of financial analytics and contractual agreements.


Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to speak a foreign language

  • Experience in project management or facilitation skills

  • GCSE Grade C above in Maths and English or equivalent

  • Possesses effective leadership, management, and presentation abilities

  • GCSE Grade C above in Maths and English or equivalent

  • Have a willingness to learn

  • Management of a budget relating to grounds maintenance
