Location/Hours

  • Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week – no weekends)

  • Field-based and remote-working in the North/North West of England

  • Team meetings at our HQ in Bristol every 2-3 months

Job Description

We’re looking for an ambitious and proactive individual to join The Pitchmark Group team. Your key role will be to identify new business opportunities and generate sales of our product lines, whilst maintaining and developing existing customer relationships. In addition, you will be tasked with carrying out contracting work and line marking demonstrations under the Turfix Services division.


No previous sales experience is necessary, but the experience of working within the turf and amenity sector is essential, whilst previous experience of working with products such as line marking paints and nutritional products is desirable. Experience in using social media would be highly beneficial.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilise the current portfolio and revenue streams to develop new business opportunities and establish excellent relationships with new and existing customers

  • Ensure customers have a great understanding of The Pitchmark Group’s products and services including USPs, features and benefits

  • Undertake high-quality works for the Turfix Services division

  • Maintain high levels of administration via a CRM system

  • Provide appropriate product and service pricing based on achieving a target net margin

  • Attend trade exhibitions, events and educational seminars

  • Maintain a periodic customer call cycle calendar including overnight stays

  • Actively promote The Pitchmark Group’s activities and positively engage with customers using social media

  • Ability to communicate internally on a regular basis to organise practical demonstrations and collaborate on Turfix Services works

Skills and Attributes

  • Full and (preferably) clean driving license (essential)

  • Be ambitious, motivated and determined

  • Be flexible and adaptable – overnight stays may be required

  • Be an outstanding communicator

  • Have excellent presentation skills

  • Be polite, courteous and customer-focused

  • Be able to work with minimum of supervision and within a team

  • Have strong organisational skills – good diary and time management

  • Be proactive and takes initiative, is highly driven

  • Be physically fit – the role will require manual handling, demonstration of products and works for Turfix Services
