The Pitchmark Group Partners with Somerset FA

The Pitchmark Group, a leading UK-based supplier of sports turf and line marking products, has announced a new partnership with the Somerset Football Association. This partnership signifies the company's commitment to grassroots football, and ensuring that grounds staff have access to high-quality equipment to achieve the best quality pitches.

The Somerset FA (SFA) is responsible for the governance, development and promotion of football across the county, from youth leagues and school programs to local clubs and amateur teams. By partnering with The Pitchmark Group, Somerset-based teams can choose from a wide variety of line marking products from a trusted and reputable supplier with a proven track record in the industry. A schedule of discounts will be provided to all clubs to help maintain premium pitches across the county for all levels of players.

One really exciting element to this partnership is that for the duration of the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, the SFA Grounds Maintenance Network will be known as "The Pitchmark Group Somerset FA Grounds Maintenance Network". SFA invites clubs from all around the county to submit an application form as part of this network scheme for the chance to apply for materials or equipment to improve their facilities. Clubs can access up to £350 through this fund.

As a key player in the football community, the SFA is also dedicated to ensuring that its clubs also have access to resources and training. The Pitchmark Group has introduced several sports turf specialists to its team over the past decade and using their expertise, the Bristol-based company is best equipped to support the Somerset FA in delivering Career Development Programmes (CPD) to grounds teams across the county.

Whether it's in-person sessions such as 'how to mix concentrate paint' or online-based ones like 'what fertiliser do I need for a pitch', the Group will have a dedicated team who are on hand to answer any questions the clubs may have. Moreover, the line marking guide and free line marking app are examples of the kind of material we will support the SFA with, including online resources, such as how to mark a football pitch from scratch.

For The Pitchmark Group, this partnership is an important step in the company's ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots football across the UK. Matt Bartle, Group Head of Commercial for TPG commented: "The Pitchmark Group is delighted to be partnering with Somerset FA.

"Our company prides itself on building meaningful and longstanding relationships, and through this exciting partnership, we are committed to supporting the Somerset FA and its member clubs to achieve better quality turf pitches (NTPs).

"This partnership will also support the FA and Football Foundation's desire to improve 20,000 pitches nationwide in the coming years."
