Turfix Heads to Saltex 2021

Updated: Jan 10, 2022

After a two year absence due to the coronavirus pandemic, Turfix, part of the wider Pitchmark Group, was extremely proud to exhibit at turf management show GMA SALTEX 2021 once again! With new developments and innovations since the last trade show, hundreds of people came to stand E125 to talk about all things line marking and turf solutions. In our latest blog post, read what the forward-thinking family business had to offer at SALTEX 2021.

The main talking point from Turfix's E125 stand was the official launch of Pitchmark's new spray line markers, The Fusion™ and Eco Lite™. The two new machines will boast a new-styled high-density polyethylene (HDPE) body to replace the steel chassis.

The new spray markers were also joined by the iconic three-wheeled Hybrid™ on the stand's display, which continues to receive exceptional praise. The Hybrid has been used across Stadia in the Premier League, Europe, and worldwide, and Pitchmark has high hopes that their latest innovations will have the same desired effects. Chairmain and Founder Mark Rodman said: "In terms of the total package of appearance, usage, and costings, I believe these machines will be the best that’s ever been produced."

Speaking about Turfix's trade show success, The Pitchmark Group's Marketing Director Darren Rodman commented: "After the disappointment of last year's cancellation, it was great to exhibit at GMA SALTEX once again. Foremost, we were delighted to continue promoting the Turfix brand, as well as our key suppliers including ICL, Syngenta, Harrod Sport, Tildenet Sports, and Pitchmark. It was also great to catch up with our customers who we haven't seen in person for a long time, along with meeting new faces in the industry.

"The official launch of the new spray markers went down really well; We received lots of positive comments from people attending the show who had come especially to see our new machines after seeing our social posts and magazine articles. We're already looking forward to another fantastic show next year," Rodman said.

One familiar face to the sports turf, landscape, and amenity industry who came and visited Turfix's E125 was none other than Jimmy the Mower. Jimmy rose to fame within the industry for posting this message, which now has over 40,000 likes, on his Twitter account: "It might only be a council field next to the tip, but to the kids round here playing football it's Wembley. So I always cut it like it is."

Since then, he's featured on the BBC and has even cut the grass at Wembley Stadium! Impressive stuff that's for sure.

In addition to the trade show itself, The Pitchmark Group family took full advantage of being able to spend some quality time together on the evenings at Birmingham's Resort World. The team have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, and it was nice for everyone to take some well-earned time out.

The Grounds Management Association has confirmed that SALTEX 2022 will take place on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd of November, 2022.
